The Personal Project is an individual project completed during the students' 10th grade year.
The Personal Project is an important part of the Middle Years Program. The Personal Project represents a truly personal and creative piece of work that stands as a summative review of their ability to conduct independent learning and work as they create, reflect, and evaluate .
The personal project consists of three main components: a Process Journal, a Product, and a Written Report. The assessment of the Personal Project is based on the Written Report and Product. Successful completion of a Personal Project is one component of earning an MYP Certificate with a minimum MYP achievement level of 3 and helps students build skills in inquiry, action, and reflection.
